What is this?: The conceit of this story is that the major milestones in Amy's life occurred on twelve specific days each in one of the twelve years that she waited for the Doctor. It was published in 2010, so it is unaware of some of the subsequent facts we learned about Amy and Rory as they grew up, however it's still a lovely story with a strong focus on their relationship.

What is this?: Rory Williams was one of my favourite things about the 11th Doctor era, and a lot of that was to do with his complex relationship with the Doctor. What is this?: *sigh* It's a Victorian Obverse AU of the BBC Eighth Doctor novels, which makes it really difficult to explain, since the EDAs are not well known, the Obverse is a canon AU (in which the Doctor is half-human because his mother is a mermaid) and then this is a Victorian AU of that. It's really a love story between the Doctor and Fitz, playing out against Victorian culture and attitudes.

What is this?: This is very satisfying story about Madame Vastra and Jenny Flint's adventures in Victorian London. In this case they are alerted to the possible presence of a jiang shi (a chinese vampire) and set out to investigate. The story has plenty of plot, action, detection and character development and is written from Jenny's point of view. It exactly the sort of thing one would hope to get from a spin-off series for these characters.
