Characters/Pairings: Sea Witch from the Little Mermaid
Length: Short

What is this?: I'm not sure how I stumbled across this but it is a lovely piece written from the point of view of the Sea Witch who bargains with the Little Mermaid for her voice. It is a compassionate story, revealing the Sea Witch to be be wise, and kind, within limits, as well as resigned to the way the story has changed over time.

Characters/Pairings: Hansel, Gretel, Their Father
Length: ~1,000 words

What is this?: This is a what happened next? for Hansel and Gretel. In particular it questions the assumption that they could just return to living happily with their father after he had abandoned them in the forest.

What is this?: One thing that features fairly prominently in Yuletide is fanfic based upon traditional fairy tales. I'm never sure about to the extent to which these are really fanfic or, as this one tags itself "Revisionist Fairy Tales". This one is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and its summary captures the story perfectly:
"Out of two hundred fifty-eight servants made invisible, only we have stayed."
