The Rose (3275 words) by Kate_Swynford
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: 15th Century CE RPF
Rating: Not Rated
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Characters: Elizabeth of York, Henry VII of England, Margaret of York, Anne Neville Queen of England, Catherine of Aragon
Summary:
What is this?. I don't recall ever giving much thought ot Elizabeth of York in history lessons. My history teacher was a great Ricardian (though not so great that she didn't think the Richard III society was a little wierd) and I think she thought Perkin Warbeck really was the Duke of York. At any rate the focus of our lessons was on the political games and Elizabeth featured only as a pawn in those. This story fleshes her out, and quietly looks at the games she may have played herself, and her own acceptance and control of her fate.
As a warning, something odd seems to have happened to the paragraphs when posting. It's all perfectly legible, but does look a little off-puttingly wall-of-text at first glance.
